After leaving high school I worked for the United Church and was introduced to the pen and ink drawing you have added colour to. It made a lasting impression on me as during my teen/adult years I embraced the image of a stern Savior. God used the drawing of "Laughing Jesus" to alter my whole perception of the Lord. The image has remained with me, sometimes more strongly than others, for all of my 50 plus years!

Recently, I exited from a spiritually abusive church and one of the "words" the Lord gave to me was "LET JOY ARISE". I had become full of fear and the Lord released me in a most wonderful way...and He brought to mind again this wonderful drawing of the "Laughing Christ."

I mentioned this on a Christian website and a poster there, forwarded to me your website address. The rest is history...and history is always writing itself!

This picture is integral to my healing and spiritual recovery. I am filled with awe that the Lord could direct me to your site. I am looking forward to having the time to view all the testimonies...and the sites you recommend...I have been blessed. LET JOY ARISE!

One verse of a song the Lord gave to me during my struggle to leave the spiritually abusive church was this:

"Thank you Lord, my spirit sings,
As if I rise on eagle's wigs.
There's so much life I can't contain.
LET JOY ARISE, I'm alive again!"
