Hello,

I am a new biblical counselor who is being led by the Holy Spirit to start a support group for women suffering from depression. Of course, we know that sorrow or depression may endure for a night or a season but that the King's children are promised joy in the morning.

When I mentioned to a sister in Christ that the image of the Laughing Jesus would be on the cover of our workbook, she broke out in a wide smile. This image will be used to help the women focus on biblical truth. His joy is our strength. This is not really the testimony but just a bit of background.

The testimony I want to share is about a group of women I counseled who were post-abortive.

Early on in the group, these women were convinced they were going to hell until they grasped how wide and how deep is His love, mercy, compassion and forgiveness for us all.

At the end of the group sessions, I took these women for a ride with my own picture of Laughing Jesus who was taped to the dashboard of my car which happened to be a shiny, red, leased, convertible. I always took Jesus with me on these rides and shared His blessing of letting me have this fun vehicle for a season to use in ministry.

This is my story about the power of God's mercy and how the image of Jesus laughing brings so much healing to our world.
