I read about you in this months issue of the Ligourian magazine.

When I first saw Jesus laughs, it was about 12 years ago in our church hall. I was teaching religion, and have been active in my faith all my life.

Through all of my scripture study, and education, I had always read of the joy of Christ. Strangely, though, the closest artwork I had seen, prior to this picture, of a joyful Christ, was when He was depicted with little children.

This picture of Christ is liberating. Here is how I like to think of Christ with me! With joy and love so over the top it cannot be restrained.

Imagine, we are told that we were created out of God's boundless love for us, that God showers this love on us each moment and waits for us to reflect even a little back to Him.

This portrait brings a little of that alive. For me it was a great lift, and provides a boost every time I see it.

I work with the dark side of church - conflict resolution. The people who seek me out are angry, sad, resentful, hurt. Many times they want to inflict that same level of emotional hurt on another.

This joyful Christ in me brings me back from the darkness I must work in daily and hopefully help others to come back from it as well.
